How to Use Past Experiences to Ace the Casper Test
March 17, 2023

The CASPer test is an online situational judgement test that evaluates your critical thinking, communication, and ethical decision-making skills. It is widely used by medical and health profession schools as part of their admissions process.

There are different types of questions that you will encounter on the CASPer test. Many of the questions on the CASPer test require you to reflect on your real life experiences. Having the answers to some of these questions before test day can assist you in answering these questions much easier and reduce your stress on test day.

Review your experiences
The first step in finding answers to common experience related questions is to reflect on your past experiences. At times this can be difficult if you don’t exactly remember all the activities you have done throughout your life up to that point. One way in tackling this problem is looking at your updated resume or CV(curriculum vitae) when you are thinking about the answers you can provide for these types of questions. Think about the unique situations you have been in where you had to make a hard decision or take action. Consider the challenges you faced, the choices you made, and the outcomes that resulted.

Find Answers to Experience Type Questions
Now use the experiences you have had to answer the experience type questions. You can find some examples of these question types below. You can find similar questions all over the internet especially if you look for them in interview preparation materials.

Since you are preparing these answers without any time limit, try to pick answers where the scenario is a bit more complex and nuanced to make your answers stand out. Note that this might not be possible on test day as you are in a time crunch and you cannot spend minutes thinking of a scenario you have been in.
